Sometimes we should just stop and ponder on this topic we all want to avoid. Think abt this: What will make your relationship with God waver? What will cause you to backslide? Don't think you are invincible. We are very vulnerable to Satan's attack if we do not guard our hearts with the promises of God. Just think about it. Know your weakness. Visualise it. Then visualise a life without Jesus. Then understand how it is not worth it to sacrifice the most important thing for something temporal.

There are just so many reasons to fall away. We always say it will never happen. Think again. This world is filled with possibilities. We never know what will happen tomorrow. We may get into a forbidden relationship, misunderstand the church doctrine, suffer the loss of a loved one that means alot to you, or even choose to follow a close friend/leader who has decided to stray away. There is a saying: will you still remain faithful to God if everyone in the church leaves? Impossible? You never know. Thinking about it makes me fearful... I have come to understand how weak my will is. I can so easily be swayed and forget the person that once sacrificed his life to die on the cross for me. Therefore Jesus i pray that you will continue to be first in my life and keep showing me how real you are. Come into my heart and help me guard it. Help me see the world through your eyes, to understand that your ways are above mine.
